I’m a bit of a ‘freak of nature’ in that I love it. I’d much rather be outside amongst the natural world than any sort of city or urban environment. When I saw the #FriFotos theme was Trees this week, I knew that I wouldn’t have to look very far to come up with some photos. Turns out I had even more than I thought, from all of my travels.
Enjoy my favourite tree photos:

A setting sun peeking through the Cabbage Tree on the Mercer Loop, near Karekare beach

Sunrise over the Pohutakawa trees at Cable Bay, NZ

On the Coogee to Bondi walk, Sydney Australia

Hug a tree in the Botanic Gardens, Dunedin NZ

Staff picnic in the first week of school in Northland – a decent introduction to life in the north!

A crisp October sunset on the West Coast of NZ

Kaikoura coastline, New Zealand

Ziplining amongst the trees in Honduras

I couldn’t leave out Tane Mahuta, Lord of the Forests!

My sister and pug, Willie, and I under the Christmas tree in 2008.
That was the last time I spent Christmas at home.

First Christmas in New Zealand, 27 degrees in Dunedin! Even the Christmas tree was melting.

A Rarotongan sunset from under the palm trees.

Tea trees around the track at Lake Ngatu

Tree Silhouettes against a setting sun background in Ahipara, NZ
That’s it for this week’s #FriFotos. Which of these trees is favourite photo?
